The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has tentatively agreed to reduce production of oil, Reuters and others quoted multiple sources.

OPEC held a meeting in Vienna,안전놀이터  Austria on the same day and discussed the specific scale of the reduction and agreed on the need to reduce production.

In a meeting with reporters before the meeting, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Industrial Energy and Mineral Resources said, "I hope we can reach a conclusion by tomorrow," adding, "We need to let non-member countries join as well."

The head of OPEC, Saudi Arabia, is demanding that Russia keep 300,000 barrels of the oil from OPEC+, including 10 non-member oil producing countries, to 1.3 million barrels a day.

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, who returned to Moscow on the same day, is expected to announce his final position at a meeting on August 7 after discussing plans to reduce production with President Vladimir Putin.

Russia is known to have proposed a reduction of 150,000 barrels instead of the 300,000 barrels suggested by Saudi Arabia, but the final size is expected to be decided on August 7.

Roh hinted that there is little possibility of accepting Saudi demands, saying Russia would be more difficult to reduce its production than other oil-producing countries, considering the winter.

If Russia does not accept Saudi Arabia's proposal, the size of the reduction will be around one million barrels, as expected by the market.
